Saphire Balance Hormone Tablet · Oral tablet · Daily · FDA-approved generic medication · dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed pharmacy · ships with supplies where included, store as the pharmacy label says. Safety: Hormone therapy may increase the risk of stroke, blood clots, heart attack, breast cancer and dementia. If you have a uterus, estrogen-only therapy increases the risk of endometrial cancer, so your provider may add another medicine. Your provider uses the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed and reviews it with you regularly. Do not use if you have had breast cancer, a blood clot, stroke, heart attack, liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding, or if you are pregnant. Safety: For men only. Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle crushed or broken tablets, because the medicine can harm a male baby. Possible side effects: lower sex drive, erection or ejaculation problems, breast tenderness or enlargement, and mood changes including depression; tell your provider straight away about any mood change. It can lower PSA blood test results, so tell any clinician who checks your prostate that you take it. Results take 3 to 6 months and fade if you stop.
