Before you start
This page explains the most important risks of the treatments offered through Saphire Vitality. It is general information, not medical advice, and does not replace your medication label or your provider’s instructions. In an emergency, call 911.
Tell your provider about every prescription and over-the-counter medicine and supplement you take, any allergies, recent or planned surgery, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and your full personal and family medical history.
Weight care injections
Clarity Weight Program (Injection, compounded medication, not FDA-approved) · Clarity Weight Advanced (Injection, compounded medication, not FDA-approved)
Compounded medication. Prepared and dispensed by VSDH, a state-licensed compounding pharmacy, under an individual prescription from a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not generic versions of, and are not equivalent or interchangeable with, any FDA-approved brand-name product. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid cancer or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia type 2 (MEN2); medicines in this class caused thyroid tumors in animal studies. Possible serious risks: pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (higher with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, changes in vision for people with diabetic eye disease, and allergic reactions. Not for use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are trying to conceive. Tell any surgeon or anesthetist you use this medicine. Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain and tiredness. Get emergency help for severe stomach pain that won't go away, signs of an allergic reaction, or a lump or swelling in your neck.
Menopause hormone therapy
Saphire Balance Hormone Tablet (Oral tablet, FDA-approved generic medication) · Balance Hormone Patch (Patch, FDA-approved brand medication)
Hormone therapy may increase the risk of stroke, blood clots, heart attack, breast cancer and dementia. If you have a uterus, estrogen-only therapy increases the risk of endometrial cancer, so your provider may add another medicine. Your provider uses the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed and reviews it with you regularly. Do not use if you have had breast cancer, a blood clot, stroke, heart attack, liver disease or unexplained vaginal bleeding, or if you are pregnant. Tell your provider about migraines, high blood pressure, smoking, gallbladder disease and any planned surgery. Common side effects: breast tenderness, headache, nausea, bloating and spotting. Get emergency help for chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, pain or swelling in one leg, sudden severe headache, vision changes, or weakness or numbness on one side of the body.
Men's sexual health tablets
Facet Confidence Tablet (Oral tablet, FDA-approved generic medication) · Facet Daily Clarity (Oral tablet, FDA-approved generic medication) · Facet Weekend Clarity (Oral tablet, FDA-approved generic medication)
Never take with nitrate medicines for chest pain or a heart condition, or with “poppers”. This can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your provider about heart problems, stroke, low or high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or blood-pressure and prostate medicines (alpha-blockers). Get emergency help for chest pain, an erection lasting more than 4 hours, or sudden loss of vision or hearing. Common side effects: headache, flushing, indigestion, stuffy nose, back pain and muscle aches.
Men's hair tablet
Saphire Root Defense Tablet (Oral tablet, FDA-approved generic medication)
For men only. Women who are or may become pregnant should not handle crushed or broken tablets, because the medicine can harm a male baby. Possible side effects: lower sex drive, erection or ejaculation problems, breast tenderness or enlargement, and mood changes including depression; tell your provider straight away about any mood change. It can lower PSA blood test results, so tell any clinician who checks your prostate that you take it. Results take 3 to 6 months and fade if you stop.
Hair restoration tablet
Saphire Root Renewal Tablet (Oral tablet, FDA-approved medication used off-label)
Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive, or if you have low blood pressure, heart rhythm problems, heart failure or serious kidney or liver disease. Possible side effects: unwanted hair growth, dizziness, ankle swelling and a fast heartbeat. Get care right away for chest pain, fainting, a fast heartbeat, or sudden swelling or weight gain. Tell your provider about any blood-pressure medicines, because they can interact.
Hair restoration scalp solution
Saphire Root Renewal Solution (Scalp solution, compounded medication, not FDA-approved)
Compounded medication, not FDA-approved. Do not use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive; pregnant partners should not touch the treated scalp. Do not apply to broken or irritated scalp. Possible side effects: scalp redness, dryness, itching, flaking, unwanted hair growth and changes in sexual function. Get care for dizziness, chest pain, mood changes or severe irritation.
Program support injections (add-ons)
Saphire Pure Energy Shot (Injection, compounded medication, not FDA-approved) · Lipo Clarity Shot (Injection, compounded medication, not FDA-approved) · Lipo Vitality Shot (Injection, compounded medication, not FDA-approved)
Compounded medication, not FDA-approved. Do not use with an allergy to cobalt, B vitamins or any ingredient, with Leber’s disease, or with serious kidney or liver disease. Possible side effects: injection-site soreness, mild diarrhea and itching. Get emergency help for signs of an allergic reaction. It does not replace diet and exercise.
Anti-nausea tablet (add-on)
Calm Ease Tablet (Dissolving tablet, FDA-approved generic medication)
Do not use with a heart rhythm problem (long QT), serious liver disease or an allergy to anti-nausea medicines, or with certain migraine or antidepressant medicines without provider review. Possible side effects: headache, constipation and tiredness. Get emergency help for fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat or a severe allergic reaction.
